This course is designed to introduce learners to the esports industry. Within the course, learners will explore esports and gaming in society and examine the progression of the industries over time. After traversing through decades of esports and gaming history, learners will review the key stakeholders within the modern esports landscape that have helped it achieve its status as a burgeoning industry and global phenomenon. Once learners have acquired a foundational understanding of esports, they will investigate the prominent career pathways related to esports.
