The News Broadcasting course is a comprehensive and hands-on program designed to provide high school students with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the field of television news broadcasting. This Career and Technical Education (CTE) curriculum will introduce students to the various aspects of television news production, from planning to telecast, preparing them for exciting careers in broadcast news.

Module – Careers in Esports
This module provides an overview of the different roles and careers pathways available within in the esports industry. Focusing on the wide breadth of career pathways within esports, this module will provide a look at the overall esports industry career trends and outline key roles and career opportunities. Within the module, participants will develop a better understanding of some of the most prominent career pathways in esports, how to prepare for a career in esports, and where to search for esports-specific positions.

Module – Communications and Digital Media in Esports
This module provides a general overview of communication and digital media within the esports industry. Within the overview the best practices of esports communication, digital media, and broadcast will be covered. Additionally, different digital media and livestreaming platforms will be identified and explained.

Module – IT in Esports
This module outlines the different hardware and technology used within the esports industry. Concepts such as the basics of networking, key hardware for PC’s and consoles, and the use of data in esports will be covered. Additionally, the module with provide a brief overview of some of the emerging technology relevant to gaming and esports.
Our Esports and Gaming Camp package provides all the resources required to run a comprehensive esports and gaming camp experience. Learners will practice their gaming skills while learning about effective training, goal setting, teamwork, communication, healthy gaming habits, livestreaming, and event production through the content and programming provided. They will gain first-hand esports event experience through the planning and implementation of a live esports event on the final day.
Esports Foundations is designed to deliver the base knowledge of concepts that learners will need to understand to excel in their academic studies, the esports industry, and, eventually, their career paths. Learners are introduced to the interdisciplinary nature of esports and the various opportunities associated with the industry, such as business, digital media, and event management.
Additionally, the content reinforces core educational aspects such as reading, writing, communicating, and critical thinking. By the end of Esports Foundations, learners will better understand how various topics and stakeholders interact to create a flourishing ecosystem and learn how to apply the concepts to their personal lives.
Esports Fundamentals is designed to be implemented as curricular or co-curricular content at the middle school level. The content has been deliberately developed to expand the learner’s knowledge of esports and provide project-based learning opportunities. The materials further expose learners to esports-specific knowledge and task them to apply the concepts outside of esports. Upon completing Esports Fundamentals, learners will have a deeper understanding of the esports industry and future career opportunities.
In addition, Esports Fundamentals provides all the resources required to implement esports as an extracurricular or summer camp program. Learners will practice their gaming skills under the guidance of instructors while learning about effective training, goal setting, teamwork, communication, healthy gaming habits, live streaming, and event production through the content and programming provided. They will gain first-hand experience with esports events through the planning and implementation of an esports event.

Esports Level 1 is designed to introduce learners to the esports industry, the key stakeholders involved, and the various CTE clusters and career pathways related to esports. By the end of the course, learners will be challenged to evaluate current issues within gaming, esports, and society and how they impact various populations and themself.
Throughout the course, learners will self-reflect about their experiences, engage in conversations and problem-solving sessions with peers, exercise critical thinking, learn how to safely establish ethical online connections, and implement practices that promote well-being.

Esports Level 2 is designed to give learners the requisite knowledge to select a CTE cluster or career pathway.
The course introduces learners to the skills needed in various CTE clusters and career pathways related to esports. Learners will explore the fundamentals of business, digital media, management, and IT, amongst other disciplines, all through the lens of esports. By the end of the course, learners will use the knowledge gained to begin building a professional portfolio and select a CTE cluster to explore further as upperclassmen.

The Business Administration for the Esports Professional course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of business principles and practices in the context of the Esports industry. This Career and Technical Education (CTE) program will equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue a career in various areas of the Esports business’ industry, including team management, event organization, marketing and entrepreneurship.

The Content Creation (for Digital Media) course is designed to provide high school students with the necessary skills and knowledge to produce engaging and high-quality content across various digital media platforms. This Career and Technical Education (CTE) program will focus on developing students’ skills in creating multimedia content, including videos, animations and written materials, to target the demands of today’s digital audience.

The Hospitality/Tourism for the Esports Professional is an innovative program designed to introduce high school students to the world of Esports within the context of the hospitality and tourism industry.
